Transparency (§409.988 Compliance)

Family Support Services of Suncoast is a community-based care lead agency contracted with the Department of Children and Families. We strive for transparency in financial stewardship and our practices that ensure safety, stability and quality of life for children in our care.

    • Average caseload of active case managers within the system of care is 7.98. (Filled Positions)
    • Turnover rate for case managers and case managers supervisors for the previous 12 months is 52.8%.
    • The total number of case managers who have 25 or more cases on their caseload is 1, which is 0.60% of case managers. (Filled Positions)
  • The percentage of required home visits completed for June 2024 was 99.47%.
  • Child Welfare public facing dashboards — The Department of Children and Families monitors community-based care lead agencies in the achievement of performance standards for indicators of child safety, permanency, and well-being. The Child Welfare dashboards include a home page that offers child welfare statistics at a glance where users can also mouseover/rollover and find current and historical data relating to child welfare in Florida.

        • 173 Licensed child placing agency homes
        • Lead agencies do not recruit or participate in the licensure of residential child caring agencies.
    • The percentage of families being served for the previous month through:
      • Family Support Services: 18.15%
      • In-Home Services: 18.62%
      • Out-of-Home Services: 63.23%
    • The percentage of cases that were converted from nonjudicial to judicial for the previous month was 0.57%.
