On Monday, September 23, Family Support Services, CNHC and Old McMicky’s Farm founder Ralph Zuckerman joined Bloom WFLA to talk about the Child Adoption Education Day, happening Saturday, Sept. 28. They shared what you can expect at this free community event, designed to demystify the process of adoption from foster care, and what makes a great adoptive parent (it’s probably not what you think!). FSS’ own Nyla Williams, Director of Youth Well Being and Clinical Permanency Supports, was there to talk about what Family Support Services does for adoptive families. This past week, Family Support Services spoke with ABC Action News WFTS Tampa Bay and Bay Focus on Christian Television Network (CTN) about our upcoming event, Child Adoption Education Day, being held at Old McMicky’s Farm in Odessa.

This event is at Old McMicky’s Farm on Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a partnership between Old McMicky’s Farm, Family Support Services of Pasco and Pinellas Counties and Children’s Network of Hillsborough County. This will be a beautiful day at the farm to learn about adoption! Adoption Specialists and other community agencies as well as families who have already adopted, will be there to demystify the process of adoption and help potential adoptive parents feel less apprehensive to adopting.

More details are shared on the ABC Action News segment, available here.
